Material examined. Lectotype (Ƥ) and paralectotypes (2 3) of H. apicalis (designated by Olmi 1982): Australia, Queensland, Bundaberg, 1904, dissected 16.II.1905 [ BPBM]. Shaanxi: Mt. Tiantaishan, VIII.1980, Jianhua Wei coll., 1 Ƥ [ SCAU].
Hosts. Delphacidae ( Guglielmino & Olmi 1997; He & Xu 2002): in Australia: Liburnia sp. (near Chloriona ), Sardia sp.; in India: Sogata sp.; in the Philippines, India, Japan, Sri Lanka: Nilaparvata lugens (Stål) , Sogatella furcifera (Horváth) ; in Japan: Laodelphax striatellus (Fallén) ; in Malaysia: Sogata sp., Sogatella furcifera (Horváth) ; in the Philippines: Stenocranus sp.; in China: Nilaparvata lugens (Stål) , Tarophagus proserpina (Kirkaldy) .
Distribution. Oriental and Australian. Australia, Japan, widely distributed in Oriental Region ( Olmi 1984), China: Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan ( He & Xu 2002), Shaanxi.
