Distribution. Cosmopolitan (except Australia).

Host records. In Egypt, it has been reared from galls of Asphondylia punica Marchal ( Diptera : Cecidomyiidae ) on the stems and flower buds of the Mediterranean saltbush, Atriplex halimus ( Doğanlar & Elsayed 2015) .
