Pristimantis ginesi (Rivero 1964) View in CoL *

Holotype: MHNLS 250, sensu Frost (1985) and La Marca (1992).

Type locality: Laguna Mucubají, Rangel Municipality, Mérida State, Venezuela.

Distribution: Region 1. Páramos of the Sierra Nevada, Mérida State.

Remarks: Considered type species of genus Paramophrynella by La Marca (2007). Using molecular data, Barrio-Amorós et al. (2013) demonstrated this species is phylogenetically embedded in Pristimantis .
