Basionym:― Salsola ugabica Botsch. View in CoL in Botanicheskii Zhurnal 68(9): 1249 (1983).

Type:― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA]. Cape Cross (2113 BB), 15 km östlich der Küste, 6 km südlich des Ugab [River], im sandigen Rinnsal am Gesteinshang, 28 November 1978, Giess 15324 ( holotype M-0107402! ; isotypes PRE-0538930-0!, WIND!) .

Distribution: ―Namibia: Skeleton Coast, near Ugab River (Erongo Region).
