Leptophlebiidae View in CoL are represented by two lineages in Cuba: one lineage is represented by Farrodes View in CoL (one species) and another lineage is represented by eleven species belonging to the Hagenulus- group of genera (tribe Hagenulini of Kluge 1994). The Cuban species in this group were assigned to the following subgenera by Kluge (1994): Hagenulus View in CoL sensu strictu (two species), Borinquena View in CoL (one), Turquinophlebia (one), Poecilophlebia (one), Careospina View in CoL (four, one with two subspecies) and Traverina View in CoL (two), but all are treated as genera here ( Peters et al. 2005; Domínguez et al. 2006). This generic complex is well represented in Miocene amber from Hispaniola where five species have been described ( Staniczek 2003; Staniczek et al. 2017).
