Distribution in Iran. Fars ( Brown 1966; Wagner 1968; Moulet 1995; Linnavuori 2012), Golestan, Mazandaran ( Linnavuori, 2007), Ilam ( Linnavuori 2012), Isfahan, Tehran ( Brown 1966), Kerman ( Brown 1966; Wagner 1968; Moulet 1995), Khorasan ( Seidenstücker 1957; Modarres Awal 1993, 1996a, 2008), Kordestan ( Wagner 1961), Semnan ( Jakovlev 1877), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Seidenstücker 1957; Kiritshenko 1949, 1966; Moulet 1995), Iran (no locality cited) ( Ferrari 1874; Jakovlev 1901).
General distribution. Near East, Central Asia, Arabic region (including Kuwait and Oman).
Comments. On grasses ( Modarres Awal 1996a), and Euphorbia sp. ( Linnavuori 2012).
Note. D. dimidiatus (Jakovlev) was considered a synonym of D. marginatus (Ferrari) by Moulet (1995), but Tshernova (1990) reinstated it and Dolling (2006) placed it as a synonym of D. putoni (Horváth) , a valid species.
