Grammolingiidae View in CoL gen. et sp. indet. from Sai-Sagul

Description. PIN № 2389/523. Distal part of hindwing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 D,H). Length of fragment 19,5 mm, estimated complete length of wing about 45–50 mm. Trichosors present. Sc and R1 run parallel to the wing margin.

PIN № 3073/838. Proximal part of hindwing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A,E). Length of fragment 27 mm, estimated complete length of wing about 45 mm.

PIN № 3073/443. Proximal part of hindwing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 B,F). Length of fragment 28 mm, estimated complete length of wing about 45 mm. CuA dichotomously branched. CuP pectinately branched, its branches long and connected by 4–5 rows of crossveins.

PIN № 3073/839. Proximal part of hindwing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 C,G). Length of fragment 25 mm, estimated complete length of wing about 35–40 mm. CuP pectinately branched, its branches short and connected by one row of crossveins.

Material examined. Specimens PIN № 2389/523, a hindwing apex, PIN № 3073/838, PIN № 3073/443, PIN № 3073/839, proximal fragments of hindwings. Kyrgyzstan: Batken Province, Batken district on the border with Tajikistan; Sai-Sagul locality, upper Lower Jurassic – lower Middle Jurassic.

Comments. Unfortunately, the generic affinity of these specimens is unclear because of their incompleteness, and it is impossible to associate hind wings with forewings from the same locality (some of them probably belong to Litholingia longa , which is described only by forewings). In spite of this, these fragments are important for the understanding of the grammolingiid fauna of Sai-Sagul. The apex of the hindwing PIN № 2389/523 demonstrates the venation which is typical for Grammolingiidae and could be assigned to Grammolingia , Leptolingia , Litholingia or Chorilineia. This specimen shows, that in Sai-Sagul were represented not only Grammolingiidae with fused Sc and R1 (as Protolingia ), but also Grammolingiidae with typical configuration of Sc and R1, which are separate distally. Fragments PIN № 3073/838 and PIN № 3073/443 have similar venation and size and most likely belong to the same species. The remarkable peculiarity of the specimen PIN № 3073/443 (and apparently also of PIN № 3073/838) is the pectinate CuP, that is not typical for Grammolingiidae from Daohugou and Shar- Teg, whose hindwings have the dichotomously branched CuP.

Specimen PIN № 3073/839 probably belongs to other taxon of Grammolingiidae than previous. It differs from two others by smaller size and by the structure of cubital and anal areas. Branches of CuP are shorter and are connected by only one row of crossveins; A1 is not so long and not so adjacent to the wing margin, as in PIN № 3073/838 and PIN № 3073/443.
