Diagnosis

Pentacrinid crinoids with brachitaxes usually having fewer than 5 brachials beyond IBr2ax, no transverse synarthry at IBr1+2, stalk symplexy with lanceolated areolas opened outward and relatively few crenulae (usually fewer than 8 per interpetaloid zone); 5 cirri or fewer.
