Type locality and specimens. Judagebirge in Palaestina. Museum Königsberg .
Dimensions. Truncuslänge beim ♂ 16, beim ♀ 18 mm. [♂ lectotype 17.59; 21.30; ♀ paralectotype 20.04; 26.92]
Oldest label. Rhagodes judaicus Krpln , ex typis, Mus. Königsberg II. VII.1899, Judagebirge Palaestina (Kraepelin handwriting).
Type material. Lectotype ♂, paralectotype ♀ here designated (ZMH-A0000161).
Taxonomic remarks. Roewer transferred the species from Rhagodes to Rhagodessa and also mentioned both specimens as types ( Roewer 1933: 283). The species was described by Kraepelin from two specimens only and these are the types preserved at the ZMH.
Collection remarks. The type locality is the Judean Mountains south-east of Tel Aviv.
Current systematic position. Rhagodidae , Rhagodessa judaica ( Kraepelin 1899) .
