Galeodellus heymonsi Roewer 1934
Roewer 1934: 544
Type locality and specimens. ♂, ♀ —Turan (Golodnaja-Steppe)—(vidi 13♂, 23 ♀, Typus).
Dimensions. ♂ Körperlänge 40mm; Turan. ♀ Körperlänge bis 40mm; Turan.
Oldest label. Galeodes caspius Bir. ♀, Alexandrowskaja Geb. Turkestan (Kraepelin handwriting).
Additional label. Galeodellus heymonsi n. sp. 1♀ —Cotyp.—Turkestan, Alexandrowskaja Gebiet [illeg.], Roewer rv. 1933.— No. 9554 ( Roewer handwriting).
Type material. None-type ♀ (ZMH-A0000193).
Remarks. There are 5♂ and 2 ♀ syntypes in SMF from Turan, Golodnaja-Steppe (Catalog No. 9903365, 9904698 & 9904732), and 8♂, 18 ♀ and 1 juvenile syntypes at the ZMB (cat no. 15569-15587). The lectotype should be designated from one of these collections. Weidner (1959) designated the ZMH specimen as a paratype but also mentions that this is based on the label. Considering the locality found on the label (Alexandrowskoje area in Stavropol Kai, Russia) the ZMH specimen is not part of the type series.
Current systematic position. Galeodidae , Galeodes caspius fuscus Birula 1890 .
