Type locality and specimens. Fundort: Transvaal.

Dimensions. ♂ Länge des Truncus 14 mm . ♀ Länge des Truncus 14 mm. [♂ lectotype 15.48; 20.05; ♀ paralectotype 14.22; 19.40]

Oldest label. Solpuga tubicen Krpln , Typus ♂, 2♀, Amsterdam c.1910, Transvaal (Kraepelin handwriting).

Type material. Lectotype ♂, paralectotypes 1♀, 1 juvenile designated here (ZMH-A0000186).

Collection remarks. The exact type locality is unknown but lies in the former Province of Transvaal in South Africa. The history of these specimens is unknown.

Current systematic position. Solpugidae , Solpugema tubicen ( Kraepelin 1911) .
