Type locality and specimens. nur ♀— Abessinien (70 km nördl. Harrar )—(vidi 1♀, Typus) .
Dimensions. Körperlänge 11 mm. [11.15; 13.83mm]
Oldest Label. Blossia cf. spinosa E. Simon, 70 km n.w. von Harrar, Abessinien, E. Wache c. 9.IV.10 (Kraepelin handwriting).

Type material. Holotype ♀ (ZMH-A0000179).
Collection remarks. The type locality is the city of Harar in eastern Ethiopia. It is difficult to reconstruct the history behind the specimen but many museums hold specimens (insects, reptiles and birds) collected by E. Wache between 1907–1910.
