Type locality and specimens. ♂, ♀—Ostafrika (Mkalama)—(vidi 2 ♂, 1 ♀, Typus).
Dimensions. ♂ Körperlänge 8mm, ♀ Körperlänge 9mm. [♂ lectotype 9.37; 11.53], [♀ paralectotype 12.51; 15.03]
Oldest label. Ostafrika Exp. d. Hamburg. Georg. Ges., Mkalama, Dr. E. Obst leg. 19.IV.–19.V. 1911, Geogr. Ges. ded. 3.X.1912. (Unknown handwriting).
Additional label. Blossiola obsti n. g. n. sp., 2 ♂, 1♀ — Typus. Mkalama, revd. 1931. Roewer No. 8267 ( Roewer handwriting).
Type material. Lectotype ♂ and paralectotypes 1♂, 1♀ designated here (ZMH-A0000178). Lectotype missing right palp and leg I, and part of legs IV.
Collection remarks. Mkalama refers to the Mkalama District in northern Tanzania . Erich Obst was traveling at that time from the northern country of the Turu people to the Lake Balangida (13– 19.04.2017) in north-central Tanzania .
Current systematic position. Daesiidae , Blossia obsti ( Roewer 1933) .
