Type species: Parajapyx isabellae ( Grassi, 1886)

Diagnosis. Antennae without trichobothria but with two pairs of placoid sensilla in last segment, mandible with five teeth and four denticles, maxilla with first lamella slender and others pectinate, labial palpus absent, subcoxal organ on sternite I, eversible vesicles on sternites II and III, one pair of styles on sternites I–VII, unpaired median claw and symmetrical cercus with four or five inner teeth ( Pagés, 1952a; Bu et al., 2012; Greenslade & Luan 2018).
