Tabanus rupinae View in CoL is of Afrotropical origin, recorded in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania (Oldroyed 1954). It was recorded from Iraq ( Sabr 2018), Jordan ( Al-Talafha et al. 2005), Palestine ( Theodor 1965), Saudi

Arabia ( Al-Dhafer et al. 2009), and the United Arab Emirates ( Walker & Pittaway 1987). Theodor (1965) suggested that rupinae View in CoL may be a subspecies of Tabanus kingi Austen, 1911 View in CoL .
