Tabanus accensus View in CoL is of Ethiopian origin with restricted distribution ( Austen 1920). It was recorded from Jordan, Palestine, and Syria. Outside the Arab countries of the Middle East, the species has only been found in Turkey and Egypt ( Kiliç 1999).
