Hybomitra lurida (Fallen, 1817) View in CoL

This species is the only one with Nearctic affinity in the study area. It was recorded only in Saudi Arabia by El-Obaid et al. (2021). The authors used mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI) gene to identify the species. The occurrence of H. lurida in Saudi Arabia is doubtful and needs confirmation and further investigation.
