Ancala africana View in CoL is widely distributed through African countries, recorded from Angola, Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Republic of South Africa, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Zaire, Uganda ( Crosskey & Crosskey 1955). Ancala africana View in CoL shows a high ability to transmit trypanosomiasis ( Mulandane et al. 2020). It was recorded from Saudi Arabia ( Müller et al. 2012a).
