Type material. Holotype: CHINA: Yunnan: male (SWU), Nankang Village [赧亢村], Longyang District [隆阳 区], Baoshan City [保山市], 1980 m, by black light lamp, 10.VIII.2006, Tai-Sheng Qin leg. Paratype: CHINA: Yunnan: 1 male ( SWU), Mt. Gaoligong Natural Reserve Nankang Station [高黎贡山自然保护区保山管理局赧 亢管理站], Nankang Village, Longyang District , Baoshan City , 2050 m, by light trap, 8.XI.2016, Zhi-Wei Dong leg.

Diagnosis. Male of the species can be distinctly recognized from the congeners by the weakly maculated tegmina (spots very small and scattered), dark Sc areas in tegmina, and maculated abdomen ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A–B).

Description. Male. General: measurements (mm): body length: 17.2–21.1, overall length: 28.2–29.5, pronotum length×width: 4.3–4.7×7.5–8.2, tegmen length: 23.8–24.5. Small to median, brown, tegmina maculated ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A–B). Head: long haired. Vertex and the area between ocelli black, interocular space narrow, ocelli distinct, ocelli ridge nearly straight. Frons yellow, upheaval, median blackish. Antennae brown. Clypeus small, anteclypeus extended and occupied the lateral margins of the clypeus, yellow, post-clypeus small, brown to yellow. Labrum brownish yellow to brown. Maxillary palpi and labial palpi brown, with joint parts white (Fig. 15 Q–R). Pronotum: unicolored, brown, anterior margin very narrowly yellowish. Surface generally with many small brownish yellow pubescence and slightly setose, anterior and lateral margins additionally with some brown setae. Apex convex and truncated, lateral fore borders oblique, lateral margins round, hind margin slightly protruded (Fig. 15 P). Tegmina and wings: Exceeded the end of abdomen about 9.5 mm. Tegmen hyaline, light brownish yellow, very sparsely covered with small brown spots, basal portion of the outer margin brown. Wings hyaline, distal portion maculated. Legs: well pubescent, dark brown, coxae pale light brown, joint parts slightly yellowish; tibial spines brown; arolia yellowish. Abdomen: smooth, slightly pubescent, dark brown, densely with yellowish maculae, median with a longitudinal line. Supra-anal plate well pubescent, apex protruded, median slightly emarginated; two median sclerites distinct, robust; cerci yellowish brown ( Fig. 35 A View FIGURE 35 ). Subgenital plate dark brown, with a few maculae for the exposed part, slightly asymmetrical, median concave; styli similar, slender, dark brown ( Fig. 35 B View FIGURE 35 ). Genitalia: well sclerotized. Left phallomere: L1 with round anterior part, left with a process, median necked, two hind lobes robust; L2 slender, right end lengthened; L3 straight, apex rectangularly curved; pda well developed, long, paa elongate. Right phallomere: large. R1M robust, hind portion large; R3 wide, well sclerotized; R2 with two large chunks ( Fig. 35 View FIGURE 35 C–D).

Etymology. This species is named in honour of Mr. Zhi-Wei Dong, our good friend who not only provided the two type specimens, but also helped us collected other cockroach specimens from Yunnan.

Natural History. Types were all trapped by the light, the paratype was found under the light in a yard by Mr. Zhi-Wei Dong ( Fig. 39 I View FIGURES 39 ).
