Holotype, ♂, paratype ♀, China: Yunnan, Yulongxuenshan , 27º10´N, 100º9´E, 16-IX-2003, collected by Ren Guo- Dong. GoogleMaps

Male: Body median in size. Head shorter than pronotum. Face slightly oblique in profile. Distance between eyes 2.8 times width between antennae on frontal ridge. Antennae filiform Eyes globose, vertical diameter 1.4 times horizontal diameter and 1.2 times longer than subocular furrow. Pronotum cylindrical, anterior margin straight, median keel visible, distinctly cut by hind transverse sulcus, lateral keels distinct, not curved, prozona 1.4 times metazona in length, hind margin excised deeply in middle. Prosternal process conical, apex rounded. Minimum of interspace of mesosternum 1.3 times the length, lateral lobes of metasternum separated. Tegmina oval, extending over the hind margin of first abdominal tergite, length 1.8 times its width. Upper keel of hind femur smooth, length of hind femur 4.7 times its maximum width, the end of lower knee lobes rounded. Hind tibia with 10 spines on inner and on outer sides, external apical spine present. Second joint of hind tarsus shorter than first joint. Tympanum distinct, big and round. Epiproct width larger than length, basal part with longitudinal groove in middle, furculae absent. Cercus compressed, extending over the tip of epiproct, apical part not wider. Subgenital plate short-tapered, apex not pointed. Ancorae of epiphallus small, lower than anterior projection, lophi not acute.

Female: Body more robust. Vertical diameter of eyes 1.5 times horizontal diameter and almost equal to subocular furrow. Prozona 1.2 times metazona in length. Tegmina shorter,extending over hind margin of the 1st abdominal tergite distinctly, length 1.6 times its width. Length of hind femur 4.4 times its maximum width. Cercus short-conical, not reaching end of epiproct. Width of subgenital plate shorter than its length and hind margin with 1 tooth. Ovipositor valve thick at base, hooked in end, outer margin smooth.

Coloration: Body green. Antennae yellowish-brown. Tegmina brown. Hind femur green, median area with black longitudinal band on inner and outer sides, end black. Hind tibia all red,. Abdomen green, with dark longitudinal stripe on both sides.

Measurement (mm): Length of body: ♂ 22.3, ♀ 31.2. Length of tegmina: ♂ 3.8, ♀ 4.1. Length of pronotum: ♂ 6.5, ♀ 9.6. Length of hind femur: ♂ 12.2, ♀ 13.3.

This new species Conophymacris reni sp. nov. is similar to C. jiulongensis Zheng et al., 2009 . The major differences are listed in Table 1.

Etymology The specific epithet is named in honor of Prof. Ren Guo-Dong for his help to collect the type speci- mens.
