Referred material.

CUF - NKNY - O 02 (23 shells; Figs 12 T View Figure 12 , 17 G View Figure 17 ).

Habitat.

Coarse and high energy subtidal sand from a depth of 5–350 m ( Price 1981; Schultz 2015).

Distribution.

Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean; Indo-West Pacific, from South China Sea to Australia ( Mortensen 1904; Price 1981; Schultz 2015; Arachchige et al. 2019).

Record in Thailand.

Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea ( Putchakarn and Sonchaeng 2004).

Taxonomic remarks and comparisons.

This species is recognised based on the descriptions and figures in Mortensen (1904), Clark and Rowe (1971) and Schultz (2015), specifically in having deep horizontal grooves in ambulacral and interambulacral plates and in lacking a horizontal series of tubercles.
