REMARKS. The species was recently transferred to Herrera based on the head being wider than the mesonotum ( Sanborn 2019b). The species has reduced mesothoracic markings and copious piceous pile radiating from the dorsal surface of all body regions which distinguish the species from the other Peruvian Herrera .

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Peru ( Metcalf 1963c) with the recent addition of Bolivia ( Sanborn 2019b) to its range. Jacobi (1907; 1951) reported the species from Callanga in Peru.
