Distribution and hosts. Breinlia (B.) dendrolagi appears to be a filarioid species of tree kangaroos belonging to the genus Dendrolagus in both Papua New Guinea and Australia.
Remarks. Breinlia (B.) dendrolagi is distinguished from B. (B.) dorcopsis sp. nov. which occurs in the peritoneal cavity of scrub wallabies belonging to the genus Dorcopsis in Papua New Guinea by the much shorter spicules, especially the left spicule, refractile cuticular bosses in males arranged in transverse bands and the more posterior position of the vulva in females.
