NHMUK 1907.11.21.12, lectotype (da Costa coll.).

Remarks.

da Costa did not state on how many specimens his description was based, but mentioned "represented by several examples hitherto unnamed in the British Museum"; in the same paper he did also describe a "var. cancellata " (see p. 38). On the original label ”Type” is striked through and, in a different handwriting, added ”Holotype”. This cannot, however, be regarded as holotype designation by da Costa, so the reference of Breure (1979) to "HT 1907.11.21.12" has to be interpreted as a lectotype designation under Art. 74.6 ICZN.
