Diagnosis. Males of S. ravida resemble those of S. caracarai sp. nov. and S. chickeringi by the palp with mRTA represented by small, short, blunt projection, arising from tibia, close to vRTA ( Figs 34 View FIGURES 32–38 , 50 View FIGURES 48–53 , 139 View FIGURES 137–142 ). They are distinguished from those of S. caracarai sp. nov. by slender embolus, with small sub-apical tooth (widened with subapical keel-like projection in S. caracarai sp. nov.) and from those of S. chickeringi by TBE with distal projection short and laminar and TBC wide, keel-like, covering base of conductor (TBC with distal projection gutter-shaped and TBC reduced to short keel, not covering base of conductor in S. chickeringi ) ( Fig. 138 View FIGURES 137–142 ). Females resemble those of S. boraris sp. nov. and S. caracarai sp. nov. by the epigyne with anterior atrium smooth, as long as wide, or slightly longer than wide ( Figs 29 View FIGURES 26–31 , 36 View FIGURES 32–38 , 140 View FIGURES 137–142 ). They are distinguished from S. boraris sp. nov. by median septum, widest posteriorly, with posterior margin straight or slightly sinuous and rounded spermathecae (median septum widest anteriorly, with posterior margin rounded and elongate spermathecae in S. boraris sp. nov.), and from S. caracarai sp. nov. by the anterior atrium larger than median septum and first turn anteriad (anterior atrium smaller than median septum and first turn mediad in S. caracarai sp. nov.) ( Figs 140–142 View FIGURES 137–142 ).

Redescription. Male (MPEG 30696): Prosoma brown with thin dark brown lines along thoracic striae; fovea dark brown; eye borders black. Chelicerae brown, as prosoma. Legs and pedipalps lighter than prosoma. Labium and endites brown, distally pale brown. Sternum pale yellowish brown with slightly darker margins. Opisthosoma grayish brown; dorsally with dense pattern of elongate marks laterally, irregular marks around cardiac mark and four median chevrons down posterior half; ventrally with few scattered spots laterally and v-shaped lines of muscle sigilla down most opisthosoma length ( Figs 128–129 View FIGURES 128–131 ). Total length 9.0. Prosoma: 4.5 long, 3.7 wide. Opisthosoma: 4.4 long, 2.9 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.31, 0.25, 0.14, 0.23; interdistances: 0.25, 0.10, 0.49, 0.33, 0.13, 0.05. Legs (1243): I: 15.5 (4.3, 2.1, 4.1, 40, 1.0); II: 15.1 (4.5, 2.1, 3.7, 3.9, 0.9); III: 11.5 (3.6, 1.8, 2.5, 2.8, 0.8); IV: 14.2 (4.2, 1.5, 3.3, 4.0, 1.2). Spination follows the generic pattern. Metatarsus III with single ventral distal spine, metatarsus IV with ventral distal preening comb. Palp: tibia with prolateral spines short; tegulum with retro-proximal protrusion; TBC wide, keel-like; TBE with distal projection short and laminar; embolus running distally and curving ventral-proximally at the distal margin of the alveolus ( Figs 132–134 View FIGURES 132–136 , 137–139 View FIGURES 137–142 ).

Redescription. Female (MPEG 15045): Coloration pattern lighter than male; opisthosoma dorsally with median upside down trident-shaped mark on anterior half and five median chevrons down posterior half; ventrally with scattered spots laterally and V-shaped lines of muscle sigilla reaching middle of opisthosoma ( Figs 130–131 View FIGURES 128–131 ). Total length: 10.1. Prosoma: 4.7 long, 3.9 wide. Opisthosoma: 5.2 long, 3.3 wide. Eyes: diameters 0.32, 0.25, 0.18, 0.24; interdistances: 0.26, 0.17, 0.47, 0.38, 0.16, 0.07. Legs (12/43): I: 14.0 (4.1, 2.2, 3.7, 3.3, 0.7); II: 13.5 (4.2, 2.0,.3.3, 3.3, 0.7); III: 10.7 (3.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.5, 0.7); IV: 13.5 (4.0, 1.7, 3.0, 3.7, 1.1). Spination follows the generic pattern. Metatarsus III–IV with ventral distal preening combs. Epigyne: epigynal field squared, as wide as long; median septum longer than wide ( Figs 135 View FIGURES 132–136 , 140 View FIGURES 137–142 ). Vulva: internal ducts slender, half spermathecae width; glandular projection arising from ducts at first turn ( Figs 136 View FIGURES 132–136 , 141–142 View FIGURES 137–142 ).

Variation. Males (n = 10): total length 7.7–9.6; prosoma length 3.8–4.5; femur I length 3.6–4.3. Females (n = 10): total length 9.1–12.4; prosoma length 3.9–4.8; femur I length 3.3–4.1.

Distribution. Known from northern South America ( Brazil, Ecuador and Guyana) and from the Isle of St. Vincent ( Fig. 144 View FIGURES 143–144 ).
