A. triangulifer Szymczakowski, 1961: 142, View in CoL
1963: 670; Gnaspini, 1996: 539 (as triangulifera, unjustified emenda-tion—see Note; holotype seen); Gnaspini & Peck, 2001: 434 (as triangulifera; tentative assignment to group camella); Salgado, 2005d: 963 (citation as type seen [the only reference he made to the species in the whole text]), 2010c: 213 (as triangulifera; assignment to group ascutellaris), 2015b: 34 (as triangulifera, but correct spelling in Abstract, p. 3); Gnaspini & Peck, 2019: 45 (holotype seen; discussion on restablishment of original spelling; assignment to group).
Holotype male in NHRS.
Type locality: Nova Teutônia, Santa Catarina State, Brazil. Note: Gnaspini, 1996 corrected all species names in Adelopsis to the feminine gender; however, since latin words ending with -fer are either adjectives or nouns, and article 31.2.2. of ICZN (see ICZN, 1999) states that a name should be considered to be a noun in aposition when the original author did not state the intention either to use a noun or an adjective and there is no evidence of intention (although Szymczakowski wrongly used masculine adjectives for other species names in Adelopsis ), we adopt the original spelling.
Distribution: Brazil: Santa Catarina and São Paulo States.
