Type locality: San Geronimo, 3000 ft., [Baja Verapaz Department], Guatemala.

Distribution: Guatemala: Baja Verapaz and Río San Juan Departments.

= D. magnicornis Portevin, 1907: 70 View in CoL ; Hatch, 1928: 163 syn. (of “ D. ” exiguus Kirsch [1871] View in CoL , now in Paulipalpina View in CoL , not stated as taxonomic change); syn. moved to D. semipiceus View in CoL by Jeannel, 1936: 154 (not stated as taxonomic change, and not referring to Hatch’s change, probably not aware of it). Holotype male [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype; depository not given], lost ( Jeannel, 1936: 154, footnote). Type locality: “ Guatemala ”.
