Holotype male in CMNC.
Type locality: 15 km NW Baeza, 2200 m, Napo Province, Ecuador.
Distribution: Ecuador: Napo Province: known only from vicinity of type locality.
Note: Formerly included the subspecies D. napoensis pallipes Salgado, 2008b: 220 , afterwords raised to species status in Salgado, 2014b: 97.
