Type locality.
Madagascar, Andobo, Antsingy forest.
Material examined.
4 ♀: MAK-12A; 2 ♀♀: MAK-33; 1 ♂: MAK-57.
Distribution.
Madagascar ( Guignot 1960); species characteristic of dry deciduous forests in the western part of the island.
Habitat in study area.
This species was collected in lentic habitats (springs and small puddles), with clay or sandy-clay bottom and a lot of plant debris, located in forested or semi-forested areas and relatively unaffected by human disturbances.
