Diagnosis. Male. Body shiny ( Fig. 95 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Hind trochanter ventrally slightly elevated, white-setose ( Fig. 94 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Tergites and sternites 6 and 7 as in Fig. 95 View FIGURES 93–102 . Syntergosternite 8 symmetrical, sub-he mispherical ( Figs 96–97 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Surstyli asymmetrical, right surstylus wider than left, with distinct external sub-median lobe ( Figs 96–97 View FIGURES 93–102 ), when seen in lateral view both somewhat short and wide ( Figs 98–99 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Apex of phallic guide thickened, elongated, angled at about 45 degrees ( Fig. 100 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Phallus with ejaculatory ducts elongated, one ejaculatory duct somewhat coiled and noticable thicker than the other two ( Fig. 100 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Ejaculatory apodeme fan-shaped ( Fig. 101 View FIGURES 93–102 ). Gonopods subsymmetrical ( Fig. 102 View FIGURES 93–102 ).

Geographical distribution. Species widely distributed in the Palearctic regions, Afrotropical, Indomalaya, Australian, Nearctic and Neotropical, Mexico Bahamas, Belize ( Ale-Rocha & Rafael 1995), Argentina; Brazil; Chile; Costa Rica; Cuba; Dominica; Jamaica; Nicaragua; Puerto Rico; Colombia ( Rodriguez & Rafael 2012), Antioquia, Envigado; Boyacá, Santuario de Fauna y Flora Iguaque ( Fig. 133 View FIGURE 133 ).
Habitat. The specimens were collected with Malaise traps at ground level at the Santuario de Fauna y Flora Iguaque reserve, in tropical dry forest of the Northeast region, and in urban areas at Envigado, Antioquia Andean region of Colombia.
Comments. It is one of the most common species of this genus in the Neotropical Region. The specimens collected are identical to the holotype illustrated by Ale-Rocha (1996).
