Holotype M: Sant'Anna de Japuiba (locality), Rio de Janeiro city, Brazil ( NMNH) (The type locality was modified with correct geographical data. Previous record under: " Sant' Anna (de Japin), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ").
Distribution in South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Republic of Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela.
