Type locality: Jamaica, no locality details (GN 18°10’37” N, 77°22’16” W). No known repository for the material GoogleMaps .

In Venezuela: in the following locality according to ZMB (2022): DISTRITO CAPITAL — Caracas , without locality details (GN 10°30’00” N, 66°55’00” W) GoogleMaps .

Remarks: geographic distribution includes Jamaica ( Baird 1862), Brazil, Colombia, Peru ( Martens & Behen 1994), Mexico, Central America, and the United States (Florida and Hawaii) ( Ferguson 1964). The record for the type locality of Hawaiian Islands, United States (“Sandwich Islands”) described in Baird (1862), is now considered an alien invasive species ( ZMB 2022).
