Vernacular Names: Thomas's Yellow-shouldered Bat.

Distribution: Guadeloupe and Montserrat (Lesser Antilles).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Endangered.

Discussion: Subgenus Sturnira . See Jones and Genoways (1975 c) and Pedersen et al. (1996).
