COMMON NAME (S): Pearl Grey. SYNONYM(S): Poliobotys borbonica Guillermet, 2008 ; Botys murinalis Pagenstecher, 1885 .

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Australia, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, Hong Kong, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Réunion, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South

Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants for the taxoninclude: one Bignoniaceae species ( Kigelia africana (Lam.) Benth. ) in Kenya ; one Bignoniaceaespecies ( Spathodea campanulate P.Beauv. ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo; and one Brassicaceae species ( Brassica sp. ) in Uganda. One Lamiaceae species ( Gmelina arborea Roxb. )

and three Bignoniaceae species ( Kigelia africana (Lam.) Benth , Podranea brycei (N.E.Br.) Sprague and

Spathodea campanulata P.Beauv. are larval foodplants of the taxon ( African Moths 2019).
