COMMON NAME (S): Slug-caterpillar moth or Cup-cocoon moth. SYNONYM(S): None. IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE). DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo , Nigeria , South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe. LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Type locality of the taxon not clear, recorded as “N and S Rhodesia [now Zambia and Zimbabwe]”. It could be in either of these two countries or at their shared border in such areas as Chirundu or Livingstone
( Victoria Falls area), which are ports of entry for visitors to the two countries. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants include Musanga cecropioides R.Br. ex Tedlie (Urticaceae) , Lagerstroemia flos-reginae Retz.
