DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia , Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka and Kafue in Lusaka Province; Kalabo in Western Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include the Salicaceae species, Populus deltoides subsp. wislizenii (S.Watson) Eckenw. in Tanzania ( Gardner 1957). Elsewhere in Africa , larval foodplants include the Salicaceae species,
Dovyalis sp. , D. hebecarpa (Gardner) Warb. and Flacourtia indica (Burm.f.) Merr. and the Burseraceae species, Commiphora sp.
