COMMON NAME (S): Feneral Nephele Hawkmoth or Feneral Nephele .

SYNONYM(S): Nephele infernalis Kirby, 1877b ; Zonilia viridescens Walker, 1856b .

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mayotte, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka and Kafue, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include three Apocynaceae species ( Landolphia owariensis P.Beauv. , L. calabarica (Stapf) E.A.Bruce and Landolphia hirsuta (Hua) Pichon ) ( African Moths 2019).
