COMMON NAME (S): Owlet Moth, Underwing or Noctuid moth.

SYNONYM(S): Caradrina indicata Walker, 1857a ; Caradrina mediterraneae Bethune-Baker, 1894 ; Caradrina distincta Staudinger, 1898 ; Athetis angularis Turati, 1935 .

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Algeria, Chad, Cyprus, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Israel, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Oman Saint Helena _ Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kabwe, in Central Province ; Lower Zambezi valley, in Southern and Lusaka Provinces; Lusaka , in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Pistacia atlantica Desf. (Anacardiaceae) and Prosopis farcta (Banks & Sol.) J.F.Macbr. ( Fabaceae ) are the larval foodplants in Israel ( Hacker 2016). No Larval foodplants unknown in Zambia.
