Material examined. India: 2 ♂♂, Manipur, Ukhrul district, Shirui Hill (Site 2), 25.1171°N 94.4456°E, 2198 m, 12.VII.2016, genitalia slide no. JSI-GP 285; leg. JS Irungbam (in coll. NZC, ZSI, Registration no. 11524/H10) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Forewing length 21 mm in male. Externally the species is slightly different from other members of Hexafrenum . The forewing are deeply shaped; the discal spot pale brown marked. There is a prominent black spot in the basal area ( Schintlmeister & Pinratana 2007). The male genitalia have slender phallus and a deeper bilobed uncus.

Distribution. India: Manipur (in the present study). Elsewhere. Vietnam, China (Yunnan), N Thailand ( Schintlmeister & Pinratana 2007); Laos ( Kobayashi 2020).
