Material examined. India: 2 ♂♂, Manipur, Ukhrul district, Shirui Hill (Site 2), 25.1236°N 94.4408°E, 2036 m, 23- 24.VII.2019; 1 ♂, Shirui Hill (Site 3), 25.1171°N 94.4456°E, 2190 m, 24.VII.2019, genitalia slide no. JSI-GP 305; leg. JS Irungbam (in coll. NZC, ZSI, Registration no. 11533/H10) .

Diagnosis.Forewing length 32 mm in male.The newly recorded species P.spadixa closely resembles P.albicauda but can be distinguished by shape of the forewing which is slightly broader and paler in P. spadixa whereas narrow and grey coloured with contrasting white pattern in P. albicauda . In male genitalia, In male genitalia, the socii shows variation which is rectangular in P. spadixa whaere as P. albicauda possess a asymmetric socii. The phallus of P. spadixa shows a distal process which is absent in P. abicauda . The phallus of P. albicauda shows a serrated plate which is absent in P. spadixa .

Distribution. India: Manipur (in the present study). Elsewhere: Vietnam, SW China (Yunnan) ( Schintlmeister 2008).

Note: The genus is reported for the first time from India otherwise it is widely distributed in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and S China including Yunnan ( Schintlmeister 2008)
