Material examined. India: 2 ♂♂, Manipur, Ukhrul district, Shirui Hill (Site 3), 25.1171°N 94.4456°E, 2190 m ,, 23- 24.VII.2019, Genitalia slide no. JSI-GP 308, leg. JS Irungbam (in coll. NZC, ZSI, Registration no. 11531/H10) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Forewing length 28-30 mm in males. Phalera albocalceolata is morphologically like P. wanqu ( Schintlmeister 2008: 368, fig 1790, pl. 36:639) but differs in forewing ground color black which is paler in P. wanqu . P. wanqu shows its apical prominent reddish brown moon space is enlarge towards the base of the forewing which is represented by a thin reddish-brown line in P. albocalceolata . In the male genitalia, both the species have long uncus but P. wanqu has knob-shaped tip which is not in P. albocalceolata . The socii are tapered and rounded in P. wanqu , which is broad and not tapered in P. albocalceolata . The costa of the valve in P. albocalceolata exhibits several flaps do not present in other congeners.

Distribution. India: Manipur (in the present study). Elsewhere. Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, SW China (Yunnan) ( Schintlmeister 2008); Laos ( Kobayashi 2020).
