Diagnosis: Morphologically, Cleapa ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. is larger in size than from C. latifascia ( Walker 1855: 981) ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 1–10 , 31 View FIGURES 28–31 ) and C. cleapa Schintlmeister, 2007 ( Schintlmeister 2007: 166) . ( Figs. 4 View FIGURES 1–10 , 30 View FIGURES 28–31 ). C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. differs from C. latifacia and C. cleapa by having filiform antennae in males instead of long, pectinate ones. Further, C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. is distinct from other species by the basal and postmedian area are darker than other areas of forewing, ground color is light brown, apical region of the forewing displays a creamy apical blotch, whereas in C. cleapa forewing basal area and the postmedian area of the forewings prominent yellow brown, the median area of the forewings displays whitish discal spots and a blackish spot near the dorsum. In the male genitalia of C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov., uncus undivided; socii longer than uncus and pointed; valva simple, costa and sacculus almost parallel with apex of the valva rounded whereas in C. latifascia vulva apex is pointed and highly sclerotized (in C. cleapa , vulva is quadrangular in shape and vulva apex rounded rounded). Phallus of C. cleapa has serrated structure at the tip whereas it is absent in C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. In C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov., 8 th tergite and sternite without any modifications and weakly sclerotized whereas C. latifascia and C. cleapa are slightly bilobed and highly sclerotized.
Description ( Figs. 1, 2 View FIGURES 1–10 ): Forewing length 18–20 mm in males. The antennas of the male are long filiform. Forewings light brown, relatively elongated, apex rounded, costal margin slightly curved. The postmedian fascia is of diagnostic shape.Apical region of the forewing displays creamy apical blotch. HW uniformly creamy brown, with rounded apex; costal margin slightly curved; fringe chequered. Male genitalia ( Figs. 28, 29 View FIGURES 28–31 ). Uncus short, broad, distally tapered, apically pointed and undivided; socii longer than uncus, thick and apically pointed; tegumen short, rather broad, dome-shaped; vinculum short; saccus well developed, rectangular; valva simple, narrow, elongated, apex slightly pointed; juxta membranous, unmodified; phallus short, weakly sclerotized; endophallus relatively short; cornutus absent. 8 th tergite and sternite without any modifications and weakly sclerotized.
The female of C. ukhrulensis Irungbam & Schintlmeister , sp. nov. is unknown.
Etymology: The species name is derived from the Ukhrul district from which the type materials was collected.
Distribution: India: Manipur.
