Neoryssomus Hofmann, 1972: 82 (original description). Type species. Oryssomus germainii Crotch, 1874 .

Diagnosis. Oryssomini with flattened body; antenna 11-segmented; pronotum semicircular, covering the head, with posterior angles rounded; all tibiae slender, unmodified; postcoxal line complete; female genitalia with genital plate elongate; spermatheca simple, curved.
