Remarks: The species is the most abundant one among the Mangelia taxa distributed on the Turkish coasts. Shell with a multispiral protoconch and teleoconch sculpture consisting of axial ribs with interspaces differing in various morphotypes (8–9 ribs on the body whorl) ( Fig. 17 ), and thin spirals with regularly spaced stronger ones. Posterior sinus and labial varix are well developed. The background color varies from whitish to brown, with different color patterns in various morphotypes ( Fig. 17 ).

Distribution: Eastern Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea ( Gofas et al. 2011). Turkish coasts: Levantine Sea, Aegean Sea, Sea of Marmara (Özt̹rk et al. 2014).
