Cuculiphilus lobatus Casto, 1977: 172  , figs. 1–10. Types deposited in DBUT and USNMAbout USNM, not examined and needs confirmation. Material from type host species from USA and Mexico, examined.

Calamincola lobatus, Casto 1978: 158  (name preoc.); Skoracki et al. 2014 a: 101.

Type host: Crotophaga sulcirostris Swainson  ( Cuculiformes  : Cuculidae  ). Type locality: USA (Texas).

Redescription. FEMALE NPF (6 specimens from type host species). Gnathosoma  . Infracapitulum and stylophore apunctate. Movable cheliceral digit with 3 teeth on distal tip, edentate on proximal end. Each medial and lateral branches of peritremes with weakly-marked borders between chambers. Idiosoma  . Propodonotal shield divided into 2 punctate lateral shields and apunctate posteromedial shield. Propodonotal setae weakly beaded, other idiosomal setae smooth. Setae se situated anterior to c 1. Setae f 1 short, f 2 medium-sized, setae h 1 and h 2 long. Setae f 2 situated distinctly anterior to f 1. Opisthonotal lobes bearing setae f 1, h 1, h 2, ps 1 and ps 2. Genital setae hair-like, situated lateral to genito-anal opening and on level of setae ag 3. Agenital and genital plates absent. Setae ag 2 situated posterolateral to setae ag 1. Coxal fields I –IV well sclerotised, apunctate. Legs. Apodemes I subparallel to weakly divergent. Paraxial claws of legs I and II larger than antaxial claws, claws of legs III and IV equal in size. Measurements. Total body length 1000–1570. Length of stylophore 420. Lengths of setae: vi 95, ve 235–240, si 315–320, se 500–525, c 1 500–505, c 2 435–450, d 1 435–465, d 2 505–535, e 2 370–395, f 1 80, f 2 220, h 1 765–800, h 2 880, ag 1 255, ag 2 170, ag 3 465. Length ratios of setae: vi: ve: si 1: 2.5: 2.9–3.3, d 2: e 2 1.3 –1.4: 1, f 1: f 2 1: 2.8, h 1: h 2 1: 1, ps 1: ps 2 1: 1, ag 1:ag 2:ag 3 1.5: 1: 2.7, tc’III –IV: tc” III –IV 1: 1.

FEMALE PF (4 specimens from type host species). Total body length 2,000–2,600.

MALE (6 specimens from type host species). Gnathosoma  . Infracapitulum and stylophore apunctate. Movable cheliceral digit with 8–12 teeth on distal tip. Each medial branch of peritremes with 2 distinct chambers becoming rugosely sclerotised with indistinct near connection with lateral chambers, each lateral branch with distinct 13–16 chambers. Stylophore constricted posteriorly. Propodonotal shield entire, rectangular in shape, punctate near bases of setae vi, ve and si, bearing all propodonotal setae except c 2. Setae se located anterior to c 1. Hysteronotal shield divided into 2 lateral sclerites bearing bases of setae d 2 and large unpaired medial sclerite bearing bases of setae d 1 and e 2. Medial hysteronotal shield and pygidial shield not fused but in very close proximity. Agenital plate absent. Coxal fields I –IV well sclerotised, apunctate. Paraxial claws of legs I and II larger than antaxial claws I –II, claws of legs III and IV in same size. Measurements. Total body length 590–850. Length of stylophore 245. Lengths of setae: vi 55, ve 135, si 155, se 395, c 1 400, c 2 445, d 1 240, d 2 405, e 2 170, f 2 185, h 2 660, ag 1 215, ag 2 265. Length ratios of setae: ve: si 1: 2.3–2.5: 2.5–2.8, d 1: d 2: e 2 1.4: 2.4: 1, f 2: e 2 1: 1, ps 1: ps 2 1: 2, ag 1: ag 2 1: 1.2, tc’III – IV: tc” III –IV 1: 1.
