Remarks. Allolobophora (s. l.) leoni has long been of uncertain taxonomic status within the genus Allolobophora . Mršić & Šapkarev (1988) classified leoni in the genus Panoniona , due to the structure of the nephridial bladders. On the other hand, All. chlorotica was found in a distant clade together with the species Allolobophora dubiosa ( Örley, 1881) and Allolobophora molleri Rosa, 1889 , the mentioned species forming the backbone of the genus ( Domínguez et al. 2015). In the most recent phylogenetic study, Navarro et al. (2023) confirmed the validity of the genus Panoniona .
