Vernacular Names: Chiru.
Distribution: China (S Sinkiang, Sichuan, Tibet including Qinghai, Szechwan) and N India (Ladak).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; IUCN – Endangered. Under severe pressure from hunting.
