Boreohelea View in CoL :

- female with sternite 9 markedly developed, appearing as darkly pigmented flanges where the two halves approximate medially, unique within the family.

- although not certainly derived, the female of Boreohelea has a pair of unique transverse bar-like, heavily pigmented sclerotizations within abdominal 8, likely homologous to what is described as “Female abdominal segment 8 with internal sclerites” in “Uncertain Character States”.
