Neotype (Renz in Nasir & Ali, Fl. Pakistan 164: 12. 1984): Herb. Linn. No. 1057.4 ( LINN) .

Current name: Cephalanthera longifolia (L.) Fritsch View in CoL ( Orchidaceae ).

Note: This name is based on S. longifolia (L.) Huds. (1762) , itself based on S. helleborine var. longifolia L. (1753) . Hudson’s name has priority at specific rank over S. grandiflora L. , which is illegitimate.
