Type locality: French Guiana: Cayenne and Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni: Saint-Jean-du-Maroni (“St-Jean-du-Maroni [...] Cayenne [...] Guyane Française [...]”). Type material: Unknown number of syntypes (BMNH, MNHN—ex Boucomont collection). Distribution: French Guiana and Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
